Description

The first rule of Flight Club – Read more books.

Discover a new book every month selected and sent to you by The Bookseller Crow.

It’s that simple.

Each month we will send you a book that we think deserves your attention. Mostly, but perhaps not always, this will be a novel, or a book of short stories, in paperback. It will arrive gift wrapped with its own bookmark and a short note about why we think the book is special. Where possible the books will be signed by the author. There will be extras.

The second rule of Flight Club is that there is no second rule.

Subscriptions are available for delivery to UK, Europe and Rest of the World addresses, with all postage included and beginning with our next monthly selection.

Open City - Teju ColeOpen City – Teju Cole
In this odyssey of intellectual rigor, the slap of footfall is measured against colonial art history, the contrasting cultures of Africa, Europe and America, and a deeper, more daring examination of the less savoury aspects of the soul. All this and a picnic beside the Hudson – it’s one hell of a plateful.

The Hunger Trace – Edward HoganThe Hunger Trace – Edward Hogan
Amidst a cast of flinty hearts as hard as the Derbyshire landscape in which they reside, a well-meant outsider attempts to reconcile loss and companionship against a backdrop of bitterness and flight, both human and bestial.

Irma Voth - Miriam ToewsIrma Voth – Miriam Toews
Take one tightly bound Christian sect with pale, sunless roots and transport it from the cold Northern hemisphere to the relentlessly baked territories of New Mexico and beyond. Then drop in a crazy film crew high on beer, grass and ambition, and sit back and absorb the dramatics as the camera rolls.
