All the Light We Cannot See

All the Light We Cannot See-Anthony Doerr

A year ago on our holidays in France we read All the Light We Cannot See (we had decided to do it for our book group) and even took a day trip to Saint-Malo to walk the streets where much of the book is set.
I mention it now because I see that some bookshops still have it on their bestseller lists, and if you haven’t already read it it’s well worth a punt.
As is Beautiful Ruins, which you will find towards the end of this list of otherwise recent books, recommended for the holidays.
