Description
We are delighted to welcome Los Angeles Times Book Prize winning author Ben Fountain to the top of the hill. Nick Hornby called Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk a modern-day classic, Karl Marlantes called it the Catch-22 of the Iraq war.
Ben will be here to read from and talk about his celebrated novel Billy Lynn’s Long Halftime Walk, along with his newly published in the UK, book of short stories, Brief Encounters with Che Guevara.
This is a very special event and one of only a small handful of readings that Ben is doing whilst in the UK and it represents a rare chance to meet one of the major voices of modern American writing.
