The Crow is knocked out to be presenting two of Ireland’s finest writers on one special evening.
“Once again, I’ve been Baumed,” remarks Joseph O’Connor of her much anticipated second novel, A Line Made By Walking. John Boyne, accomplished author of the acclaimed Boy in the Striped Pyjamas, arrives in SE19 with a funny and poignant novel set over the last seventy years seen through the eyes of an adopted Dubliner.“For many years, people asked me why I never wrote about my native Ireland,” he says. “But… I found myself more intrigued with the history and social mores of my own country.” Furthermore, The Heart’s Invisible Furies is dedicated to the great John Irving who is clearly a fan.
